Do you remember spending countless hours listening to records and staring at the album art and studying the liner notes? No, neither do we, because that would mean we’re much older than the digital generation. Fine, who are we kidding? That is what got us here: that absorbing of every medium of an artist’s oeuvre, through the touch and smell of the cardboard sleeve, to the music, to the fantastic artwork in all of its 12 inch by 12 inch glory; even when it skips-when it skips-when it skips-when it skips (someone find me a nickel!).

Well, Israeli artists Roy Kafri and Vania Heymann remember this too, and found a way to breathe new life into some of our favorite albums of all time – from the Beatles Revolver, to Bowie’s Aladdin Sane, to Michael Jackson’s Thriller. They all sing along to Roy Kafri’s “Mayokero” and are given new life as a man collects the albums from a homeless man and then goes to the store to ignore a MiniDisc player and buy more albums (because that is the only way those sequence of events make sense). It is truly beautiful to watch.

Which other albums should have made the cut to beat box along with “Mayokero?”
