Phosphene Demos

Friends of the site, Phosphene, are at it again.  On the heels of their debut self-titled EP, the Bay Area trio have released some new demos for your listening pleasure.  This time, their shoegazer sound seems to have taken a taken on a three-chord pop feel that gives each track a bit of a 60s California retro sound.  The guitar is janglier, Frankel’s vocals are hauntier, and the three tracks are a dream rock carpet ride through a surf rock landscape.  I am interested to see how this will all tie in together with a full-length LP.

The new demos are available on soundcloud or take a listen below.  The new direction Phosphene is an intriguing one and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
