The stage is set, well not literally, they usually don’t have that up until the Friday of the festival, but the lineup for Treefort 2015 has been released in all of its glory.
Today, the remaining bands have been announced and what was already an experience that could be considered the holy pilgrimage for fans of hard-working and independent music is poised to become an unrivaled musical religious zenith that those not in attendance will never believe.
With quite a few familiar faces, bands like Snake Rattle Rattle Snake, Hollow Wood, Hobosexual, Finn Riggins, The Soft White Sixties, Jon & Josiah (The Head and the Heart), Hillfolk Noir, The Soil & The Sun, The Shivas, Omar Souleyman, Built To Spill, and HiHazel (to name a few without even scratching the surface) will share in the five day, multi-venue festival-of-musical-festivals with bands like YACHT, Generationals, Cymbals Eat Guitars, !!!, of Montreal, Emily Wells, Trampled By Turtles, Wooden Indian Burial Ground, Josh Ritter, and of course TV On The Radio.
The full lineup can be found here. And while we’re excited for a truly original music festival that isn’t some caravan of Grammy nominees claiming to be a unique experience like everyone else, we can’t help but notice that this really is the best festival you can attend for the price. Plus, added bonuses like Alefort, Hackfort, and Yogafort don’t hurt at all.
We’ll be posting videos and songs from the band on Facebook and Twitter each day to get to know the artists a bit.
Go get tickets that are the packed with so much Grade-A awesomeness per dollar. Here are the ticket details. See you in March!
